UHF TV channels to their actual frequency a great help when tuning in
some makes of TV. Whilst most manufacturers use the channel numbers
21-69 some insist on showing the frequency which can be confusing. IF

History
The founders of Pierpoint and Ryan were both licensed
amateur radio enthusiasts so our interest in radio and electronics is
a passion as well as a profession. We have seen the valve technology
of early colour TV's evolve into the microprocessor driven products
of today. But its a case of the valve is dead long live the valve! For
even today many audiophiles prefer the characteristics of a valve amplifier
to one that uses semiconductors. With all the advances that come along
we must remember that the laws of physics and indeed Ohm's law are just
as true today as they ever were. If your repair requires a replacement
valve or a surface mount microprocessor Pierpoint and Ryan have the
confidence to tackle either job. As with everything else in life a good
understanding of the basics is a foundation for the future.
